We’ve all got storage problems – too little space, wasted spare rooms crammed with random stuff, inaccessible shelves – but fortunately Cynthia Hyde has some solutions.

In fact, storage solutions are her business. Hyde is the owner and one of four designers at Simplespace, a Montreal company that designs and installs custom storage, especially for clothing. She brought a master’s degree in urban planning and many years of customer-service experience to the company when she purchased Simplespace in 2009, while the other designers in her team are graduates of CEGEP interior design programs.
